You can buy socks a dime a dozen at Walmart, Kmart, Sears or any fine department store. So if you want to buy a dozen socks, I found a website, socks4life, that sells socks for any type of foot and is Made in America. I won't go into detail on the types of socks but they have youths, boys and girls, mens and ladies crew and even for steel toe boots. If you buy $60 worth, shipping is free and that is easy to do if you buy for the whole family at one time. Which is what I plan to do. From reading the reviews online, they wear very well and you get your money's worth.
In November of 2006, socks4life added a diabetic sock. So if you know any diabetics, this may be something to check out. Here's some info that I never really knew or paid attention to but I learn as I go. Diabetics often experience loss of sensation in their legs and feet. They can develope blisters and callouses and need a sock without the seams and bumps that regular socks have. So this company developed a sock with extra padding and no ridges and bumps or seams. Seems like an important thing to check out if you are diabetic or know of one.
All socks are manufactured in Fort Payne, Alabama and they ship direct from their factory. I looked at the prices on this site and they're not too bad for a dozen pair. If you think about what you pay at Walmart, I think your getting a better quality sock for the price. Check them out and let me know what you think.
