Made in the USA Forever

Today I thought I would talk a little bit about MadeinUSAForever. Did you check out the video of Todd Lipscomb’s interview in my last post? If not, please check it out .

This company was started by one man, Todd Lipscomb who actually lived in Asia for quite some time and saw what was going on there. Pollution, China trying to become the next superpower and the unsafe workforce making products that were being sent to our children! Horrified at all this, he quit his job working for a very large company and started his own, determined that all his products would be Made in the USA!

If you go to his website you will find a variety of products that you can buy immediately. He says, “An America that makes Nothing! No Way!” Continue reading

I want to give a shout out to my friend Dixie who was shopping the other day for some kitchen ware and found us more Made in USA dishes. Anchor Hocking has been around since I can remember. I remember those casseroles coming out of the oven in Anchor Hocking bakewear. Do any of you remember your parents attaching a handle onto the bakewear to get it out of the oven?
Anchor Hocking has been around since 1905. You can buy them at Walmart, any specialty shop or almost any retailer. They are the second largest supplier of glasswear in the US and on their website they quote, “We manufacture all products at the company facilities in the US.” Some of their facilities are in Lancaster, Ohio and Pittsburg, PA. Take a look at their website and download their catalog. You will probably be familiar with a lot of the products already and the plus is they are Made in USA and affordable.
Thanks, Dixe, for being so diligent in looking for the American made products.

Then I went to run some errands and so I stopped at the Dollar Store to pick up some car wash that hubby likes and just to shop around a little. Ever since I became so aware of American made products I can’t go anywhere without comparing every item these days. This really saves me a lot of money because if I see Made in China, I don’t buy, I don’t care how pretty it would look on my table or how neat my front yard would look with that cute little flag flying. Oh believe me, some times I think it won’t matter but I am trying to make a difference, one item at a time. So I really have to stick to my guns and practice what I preach and that is very hard.
While I was at the Dollar Store, I found Yardley of London bar soap, which is Made in USA. I was surprised to find it was American made.
If you want to make a difference, all I am saying is shop around a little. Even at the stores where you think everything is from overseas, you may just find that one product Made in the USA. It is worth it to buy it and keep our workforce working.
