Made in the USA Forever

Today I thought I would talk a little bit about MadeinUSAForever. Did you check out the video of Todd Lipscomb’s interview in my last post? If not, please check it out .

This company was started by one man, Todd Lipscomb who actually lived in Asia for quite some time and saw what was going on there. Pollution, China trying to become the next superpower and the unsafe workforce making products that were being sent to our children! Horrified at all this, he quit his job working for a very large company and started his own, determined that all his products would be Made in the USA!

If you go to his website you will find a variety of products that you can buy immediately. He says, “An America that makes Nothing! No Way!” » read more

Anchor Hocking – Made in USA

I want to give a shout out to my friend Dixie who was shopping the other day for some kitchen ware and found us more Made in USA dishes. Anchor Hocking has been around since I can remember. I remember those casseroles coming out of the oven in Anchor Hocking bakewear. Do any of you remember your parents attaching a handle onto the bakewear to get it out of the oven?
Anchor Hocking has been around since 1905. You can buy them at Walmart, any specialty shop or almost any retailer. They are the second largest supplier of glasswear in the US and on their website they quote, “We manufacture all products at the company facilities in the US.” Some of their facilities are in Lancaster, Ohio and Pittsburg, PA. Take a look at their website and download their catalog. You will probably be familiar with a lot of the products already and the plus is they are Made in USA and affordable.
Thanks, Dixe, for being so diligent in looking for the American made products.

Then I went to run some errands and so I stopped at the Dollar Store to pick up some car wash that hubby likes and just to shop around a little. Ever since I became so aware of American made products I can’t go anywhere without comparing every item these days. This really saves me a lot of money because if I see Made in China, I don’t buy, I don’t care how pretty it would look on my table or how neat my front yard would look with that cute little flag flying. Oh believe me, some times I think it won’t matter but I am trying to make a difference, one item at a time. So I really have to stick to my guns and practice what I preach and that is very hard.
While I was at the Dollar Store, I found Yardley of London bar soap, which is Made in USA. I was surprised to find it was American made.
If you want to make a difference, all I am saying is shop around a little. Even at the stores where you think everything is from overseas, you may just find that one product Made in the USA. It is worth it to buy it and keep our workforce working.

Follow up on products made in USA

"usa coffee"

When I ordered some coffee from USA COFFEE COMPANY, I told you that I would follow up with a review and here it is. I got my order in a timely manner. Since I am a coffee addict, the smell of this brand was the first thing I noticed. Since coffee is the first taste of the morning for me, I must have a good cup of coffee or I can’t function properly. I thought I had that with Maxwell House and Folgers, which I drink regularly. I can honestly tell you that the union roast I bought has a full, fresh flavor and I really like it. I know it is a little more expensive than your typical grocery store brands, but I am seriously contemplating spending the extra money so that I can enjoy a full flavored fresh cup of coffee every single morning. » read more

USA MADE SEVENTH GENERATION

Seventh Generation is a company that just caught my attention! Not only is it an American Owned Company, when I asked about the products, I received a very impressive response. I’ve been emailing and calling different companies for some time now trying to verify where their products are made and what manufacturing facilities they have in the USA. You would not believe how many of them gave me the run around! Everyone, that is, except for Seventh Generation!

Here’s what Sefton Hirsch of customer service said to me: » read more

Flags Made in USA

In order to appreciate this company, I have to tell you a little of the history of Annin. They are actually the oldest and largest flag manufacturer that started in a sail loft in New York City making signal flags for sailing ships as early as 1820. Today they have 4 locations in Virginia, Ohio and New Jersey, all in this great nation, not overseas.

Guess where the flag that flew on the moon on the Apollo mission is from? Or the US Flag that sits atop Mt. Everest when National Geographic had their expedition? Or the flag that flies over the North Pole? You guessed it right, Annin & Company have a serious stake in American History. » read more

Another Company you may be interested in and whose products are made in USA :

The Original Telescoping Flagpole From Uncommon US

This company is about as patriotic as you can get. From Wilmar, Missouri, this company made maintenance free telescoping flagpoles in the 1980′s to display memorial flags in honor of fallen veterans. The entire flagpole can be colapsed with a push of a button and stored until needed again.

Uncommon USA brags quality and values and a Scandanavian honesty that includes a strong work ethic. They promise a 90 day guarantee and a 5 year warrantee. Now, from what I saw on their website, the flagpoles start at $169.00 for a 15 foot telescoping pole. They also sell all kinds of flags from Military and Patriotic to NBA, NFL, Elks, Moose, Major league Baseball, and more. The flags start at about 20 dollars and for a 3 X 5 patriotic flag it will run you about $30.00. Check them out. » read more
